The King's Commander

Jack Stewart Trilogy: Book 1

Shot down at the battle of Midway, Navy Lieutenant Jack Stewart loses his flight status and is ordered to a desk job in Washington, D.C. Enroute, the former Rhodes Scholar meets the Director of Operations for the newly formed Office of Strategic Services.  At the same time, Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt have been working to integrate their intelligence efforts against Hitler’s Germany. Churchill’s requirement for FDR to get an American into the most closely guarded part of MI-6 is that the individual must accept a commission in service to the King. Jack Stewart is offered that opportunity which would get him back into the war.

Jack becomes a key operative for Churchill as D-Day approaches and is embroiled in thrilling clandestine activities that could change the tide of World War II altogether.
